Awesome Xmas presents

Both these books were given to me by my bestie (besty?) Tesia when she visited from Dubai this past Xmas. I had expressed to her that even though I'm pretty good at cutting ready patterns- as a designer I would really like to create my own patterns and use them to make Peppermint even more unique and fashion forward. I cannot express how much I love both these books.
The pattern cutting book is helping me understand relationship of shapes and how these are incorporated into the body of a garment.Since I'm new to pattern drafting, there was plenty of food for thought.

Draping:The book is a dream, richly illustrated, clear instructions. It provides a general introduction to history of draping, intro to few fashion designers ,shows the required materials and then goes step by step. Skirts, tops, dresses, sleeves, collars, coats and jackets, trousers all are covered.
Thank you T! An Xmas present I will always treasure!

Patterns

At any given point I have about 30 patterns in my workroom. Sometimes I use an existing one, sometimes I merge two together. Regardless, my workspace looks like this most of the time during the early stages of design.
